Visual Weld Inspection Training!!

We were privileged to have Ken Barr, a Certified International Welding Engineer, join us to share his invaluable expertise. Ken’s insights and hands-on
guidance ensured our team enhanced their skills in:

Understanding BSI ISO EN 1090 standards
Conducting precise visual inspections
Identifying and addressing welding defects
Implementing preventative control measures

This training is part of Maine Group’s commitment to investing in our team members’ growth, ensuring we remain compliant with industry standards, and committed to delivering the highest quality workmanship.

Action Cancer Clothing Drive!!

We are beyond proud to announce the success of our recent clothing drive! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our team across all sites, we’ve collected an amazing amount of clothing donations that will directly contribute to Action Cancer’s vital work.

Action Cancer provides life-saving services, including cancer screening, support for patients and their families, and funding for critical cancer research. With these donations, we are helping to raise vital funds to support their mission to improve the lives of those affected by cancer in Northern Ireland.

Movember: Celebrating Our MO-MEN-T!!

At Maine Group, we’ve spent November growing more than just moustaches – we’ve grown awareness, sparked important conversations, and strengthened our commitment to men’s health.

Throughout the month, our weekly Men’s Talks brought attention to vital topics like mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer awareness.

To wrap up Movember, we hosted a MO-MEN-T! Over a cup of coffee and Maine’s homemade shortbread (thank you, Laura! ), we celebrated the efforts of our team with a fun challenge for:

Maine Group at Data Centres Ireland 2024!

We’ve just wrapped up two incredible days at the Data Centres Ireland 2024 exhibition, and what a fantastic experience it has been!

Meeting and connecting with so many like-minded individuals, all driven by the pursuit of innovative solutions, was truly inspiring.

At Maine Group, we were proud to showcase our wide range of data centre solutions, with a spotlight on our structural belly tanks.

We highlighted how our expertise spans from modular plant rooms and builds to structural steel, offering tailored solutions to address a wide range of needs.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand – your interest and conversations energise what we do.

Isn’t she Lovely!

We are thrilled to share a special once-off project we recently completed for the McAlister family of McAlister Transport. This stunning lorry, designed by young Jack McAlister, features his unique designs and colours, paying tribute to his grandfathers. Over the past weeks, our talented in-house painting team has worked diligently to bring Jack’s vision to life. The craftsmanship and attention to detail truly shine through, resulting in magnificent results that reflect the heart and soul of this project.

We’re especially proud to share before-and-after images that showcase the incredible transformation of the lorry. The results speak for themselves!

We’re also excited to announce that this beautiful lorry has taken home a prize for one of the Top Trucks of the Show and was also awarded “The Drivers Choice Award” At Maine Group, we’re grateful to have the skillset and passion to assist with this unique project.

Pedal with Purpose!

We are excited to share that through our recent team member Spin-a-thon, we raised an incredible £1,153 for the Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke

Our dedicated team members cycled a whopping 1,125.96 miles, demonstrating not just their commitment to fitness but also to supporting this vital cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to making this event a success! Your efforts will help make a positive impact in our community.

Spin-a-thon Success!

To celebrate the recent World Heart Day, our team members across all sites embraced a day filled with fun, sweat and laughter. The rivalry was fierce as we cycled a staggering 1125.96 miles between 8 am and 5:30 pm, all in the name of raising funds for the Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke.

Causeway Coast Half Marathon!

Maine Group at the Causeway Coast Half Marathon!

Our amazing team took on the breath-taking ‘Causeway Coast Half Marathon’ – 13 miles of challenging trails and stunning views.

A huge congratulations to our incredible team, all of whom completed the race, with 3 of our team members securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

Not only was it a fantastic day for us, but we were also proud to raise funds for Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, supporting those affected by cancer across Northern Ireland.

Putting with Purpose!

It’s a wonderful way to end the week as we proudly presented a cheque for £1,700 to Macmillan in Northern Ireland on the 23 August. These funds were raised through our team member golf day, and we’re thrilled to support such an important cause. A big thank you to all Maine Group team members who participated and made this possible.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Macmillan Cancer Support for their exceptional work in assisting those affected by cancer. Your dedication truly makes a difference.

Celebrating the incredible women of our Maine community on International Women’s Day 2024! Today, We honour the strength, resilience, and brilliance that each of our ladies brings to our business.

To mark this special occasion, we hosted a champagne reception and afternoon tea for our ladies. We would like to acknowledge their dedication and hard work and express our gratitude.

We are proud to have such inspiring women shaping the future of our Maine family.

Health Matters

Starting 2024 with a strong focus on what’s important – our Team Members health and wellbeing!

Given our commitment to team member health and wellbeing, this programme means more to the Maine Group than merely providing the ‘standard’ health checks.

During January, we have carried out 110 health surveillance checks with an additional full “MOT” for each team member.

This programme not only ensures our teams are fit and safe for work but also provides them with additional screening, ensuring they are fully informed, supported, and empowered to take an active role in improving their overall health and well-being.

Here’s to a healthy and thriving year ahead.
